I think a lot of it is still relevant, because it’s strongly anchored by traditional social/human statistical analysis methods (“biostats”), which have stood the test of decades well.
That said, it obviously doesn’t have analysis of this specific usecase. I’m curious about how the new platforms — UsabilityHub, Eyesdecide, Loop11, et al. — do when put up against the maths.
I’m particularly interested in n values and whether NNG’s claim of 20 participants for quant statistical usefulness holds up (https://www.nngroup.com/articles/quantitative-studies-how-many-users/).
But yes, to answer your question, it’s still worth a look.
